BBI Spreaders to Participate in 2012 Farm Progress Show

BBI’s summer road show continues, as Denny McCauley will lead the BBI team’s participation at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.

The Farm Progress Show, one of the largest agricultural trade shows in the country, will take place August 28-30.  Show hours will run between 8 a. m. and 5 p. m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 8 a. m. to 4 p. m. on Thursday, August 30.

Joining McCauley in the BBI booth will be Lee Kilpatrick, the company’s sales and marketing director, as well as Russ McEver from inside sales, parts, and electronics.

Billed as “the nation’s greatest agricultural showcase,” the Farm Progress Show enjoys a long history as one of the Midwest’s top farming events. Since its birth in 1953, Farm Progress has been the nation’s leading outdoor farm show, featuring an impressive array of vendors showcasing the most extensive state-of-the art information and cutting-edge technology available for today’s agricultural producers. The show features the country’s top agribusinesses, and manufacturers and suppliers at national level, as well as regional and local exhibitors.

According to the show website, the event “gives visitors have the opportunity to see the latest equipment, seed, crop chemicals, field demonstrations, livestock handling and equine events, Ride ‘n Drive, rural life programs and entertainment, arts and crafts, and more. Farmers and ranchers from across North America and around the world visit the Farm Progress Show to see agriculture’s latest product introductions, meet face-to-face with agribusiness professionals and gain hands-on knowledge.”

McCauley, BBI’s Midwest Territory Manager, will be taking several of the company’s elite spreader models, including MagnaSpread, Endurance, Triad, Liberty, and Grasshopper to Farm Progress. MagnaSpread represents BBI’s line of hydraulic granular fertilizer and lime spreaders optimized for precision agriculture with the company’s standard Binary Manifold, with single-axle, tandem-axle, pull-type, and truck-mount options available.  BBI will showcase three MagnaSpread models at Farm Progress, including a pull-type featuring a 20-ton walking beam suspension, scale system, and plug-to-tractor hydraulic system among many other options.

Also standard-equipped with BBI’s Binary Manifold, Endurance is the company’s first-in-class solution for litter spreading, with pull-type and truck-mount options on offer.  BBI has also optimized Endurance for use with lime shavings and other organics.

Triad, ideal for precision application of dry material, features BBI’s patented three-hopper design for simultaneous distribution of multiple dry nutrients. The design, along with Triad’s compatibility with all leading industry precision technology software, optimizes cost-in-use. Farmers can leverage Triad’s ability to apply more material in fewer passes through the fields, as well as the spreader’s flat spread pattern, which ensures the even distribution of material each time around.

Liberty is BBI’s mechanical granular fertilizer and lime spreader, while Grasshopper is the company’s line optimized for vineyards, row crops, and sod and turf farms.

“I’m pleased to continue BBI’s tradition of supporting Midwest farming through our great team’s presence at the Farm Progress Show,” stated McCauley. “Our mission is to improve the economics of every BBI customer, and we do that through sophisticated design of rugged, durable spreaders that feature the lowest cost-in-use for the industry.  Not only are our spreaders designed for maximum durability, they are also standard-equipped with ISOBUS technology, for farmers who are leading the way in precision agriculture techniques.”
